I am an accredited somatic coach and trauma informed yoga teacher, currently based out of Sydney Australia. I hold space for humans to return home to their bodies- facilitating connection and capacity for exploring and welcoming your present and past experience. Inviting you to sense and hold feelings and stories that have taken root within your body.
My Approach to somatic space holding.
My somatic space holding practice follows on from my time training with the SOMA method. An ACCPH accredited somatic coaching course created by Rachel Cruickshank.
Importantly and crucially, also, my own years of practice in somatic experiencing and movement.
In my space of holding I will invite you to connect to your body while, visualising, verbalising and physically/ creatively expressing both present and past events/sensations/emotions.
This mind body connection is crucial towards broadening your nervous systems capacity for feeling what your body is calling you to notice and hold.
Somatic tools of orientation, presencing, titration and pendulation will in time broaden your capacity to hold yourself and others in the community of human expression and existence.
I offer a framework of two months exploration for my clients, through either weekly or fortnightly online sessions. After this we will review and discuss whether to continue in our practice together.
My Teachings
Polyvagal Theory - Dr Stephen Porges
My practice and approach is informed by Polyvagal theory. This is a theoretical framework that helps us understand how the vagus nerve, a major cranial nerve, influences and shapes our social behaviour, emotional regulation and response to perceived threats.
SIBAM Model- Dr Peter Levine
This model is a framework used in somatic experiencing to help towards understanding and processing of your human experience, particularly within the context of trauma. This framework breaks down experience into five interconnected channels: Sensation, Image, Behaviour, Affect (emotion) and Meaning. Branches of this framework do not exist in isolation, rather they influence and interact with each other. Understanding this framework will offer you a holistic view of both your internal and external world.
Trauma Informed Yoga Teaching
I have completed a 200 hour trauma informed yoga teacher accreditation with the Yoga Therapy Institute. Trained and guided by Manouk Tideman.
During my time training I was able to expand and deepen my awareness of the crucial link between a trauma informed approach and how this can bridge the gap of accessibility to this ancient practice for many people, who may feel unseen and unwelcome in many modern yoga classes.
Deepening my knowledge and respect of Yogic philosophy and offering me a strong anatomical knowledge base from which to plan my asana practices from an inclusive and trauma informed approach.
In my space of holding as your yoga teacher most importantly, all of you is welcome. There are no rules and strict guidelines. I will always guide and invite you to move from a place of body based intuition to find how the postures land best for you in your body that day, that hour, that very minute. I will always prioritise you feeling safe and welcome in my space of holding over how your postures look or whether they meet the ‘correct’ alignment as your body knows best, always.
Somatic free movement and expression.
Throughout my time as your space holder. I will invite you to both physically and creatively connect to/ express your present sensations and emotions.
I will guide you through free movement practices that will help your body to identify how your sensations/ feelings wish to move/ flow/ sound through physical/ creative and audible expression.
Offering you a gateway in to an understanding of the energy of your inner world.
This exploration of physical and creative expression is an invitation to help you anchor into and explore which expressions help facilitate your body towards emotional release and identify feelings of safety and connection to the present.
My offerings as a space holder
One to one somatic exploration
I offer a two month framework of weekly somatic space holding sessions over zoom.
This is for individuals who are feeling called to explore how somatics can deepen their relationship with their body- emotionally, sensationally and energetically.
For those who wish to explore how they can hold their present emotional experience from a compassionate de-shaming lens of exploration.
Offering your body the space to feel and integrate your past and present experience, through movement, sounding, creative expression, body based feeling and journalling… anything your body feels called to express/ feel in my space of holding is so so welcome.
This somatic exploration helps to bridge the crucial gap between your mind body connection as you journey throughout your healing.
I offer my somatic space holding as a two month framework. I feel this will offer you, most importantly your body, the appropriate amount of time to gently and safely ease in to your somatic exploration and experience.
After this two month window of exploration is up, I will invite you to reflect on your experience and check in with your body as to whether you wish to explore further with me as your space holder.
Online Yoga Teaching
I am offering private one to one hour long trauma informed yoga practices which will take place over Zoom.
This is not only a convenient way to broaden and deepen your current yoga practice but also if you are new to yoga (which we all are), this framework can offer your body the choice to explore in an environment that feels safe and familiar for you.
My trauma informed approach will mean that every posture or sequence I invite you to explore is for you to decide whether that lands for your body that day.
I will actively encourage you to let me know how you wish to move and express through yoga on the specific day that we meet.

We will start with a 30 minute consultation. If you decide you wish for me to be your space holder we will then work together over two months, giving us both enough time to explore and meet your inner world and experience.

Pricing per 60 minute online somatic session is : £70/ $140 AUD
For students I offer pricing of £50/ $100 AUD per session.
Pricing per 1:1 trauma informed yoga teaching : £30/ $60 AUD
This will be due the day before our weekly session via bank transfer.

We can discuss which form of space you feel will be most supportive for you during our online consultation. I work primarily online, however, I can make adjustments if its something we both feel would benefit your practice.
